liliger

Though we heard "liger" which is the lion-tiger hybrid, we never heard about liliger before.  Because of a liger mother and a lion father, the cub is called liliger. It may be the first liliger in the world. It seems like an impossible thing happened in natural circumstances. However some zoos make do cross-bread cats and hybrid to public value or entertainment. The spokesperson of  The Association of Zoos and Aquariums, said they focus on wildlife-conservation programs. The zoo in North America won't do that to violate the rule of nature.

Religious Demand Killing Elephants

In the 21th century, we know there are lots of animals are endangered or even extinct. Especially many of them are hunt by human.    As we know hunting elephants for ivory is illegal. Is still happen everyday.
The forbidden trades still working.   Lots of ivory are imported to Asia countries like China,Thailand and Philippine for religious reason.    Because people who are pious believe donate ivory to God. By this those think it can show their piety.   One of Buddhist said "one should use precious material. If not ivory then gold. But ivory is more precious." The saying seems ridiculous and unbelievable. Some temples even sell the ivory products to increase their income. They claims the best way to remove the bad luck and spirit is buy new ivory  not the old one. Though the National Geographic has exposed and CITES has set international wildlife trade policy before. The decision only raises appetite of illegal ivory. At present, it still can reach its effort to the real situation.

A Musical Connection

After read Serhan and Fatosh's love story, I was surprised by their story and love. I think the most important thing is their brave. Because it is the key to open their future and fall in love. If today I face the same situation, I will be afraid of it. In my  experience, I  never go into Internet chat room to chat with stranger. If I do chat with people who I don't know, I will not meet him/her in person. It may be a trick. The man behind the screen may be a good man/woman, freak, or even criminal. It's the reason why I would not meet in person. I read some news about finding their true love on the Internet. They said just give it a try. Most of them are not really sure. Sometimes I can't sleep, I just watch TV show or movie channel. Keep watching TV late at night makes my eyes feel tired. I will sleep easily.

The Bilingual Brain

Karl Kim,the Korean, who immigrated to the  United States ten years ago. Now,he is a graduate student in the lab of Joy Hirsch. They took a experiment and found some interesting result. The research is about studying the brains of two bilingual people. One learned second language as they were children. The others learned latter. Both of two groups have the same observation in Wernicke's area. It cannot show the difference between them. But their use of Broca's area was different for their second language.  So,Karl and Joy concluded some reasons of the outcome. First, the brain may combine sounds and structures from languages into the same area when we in children. After we grow up, new sounds and structures must be taken over by the other part of brain. Last, the learning process we acquire languages differently as children than we do as adults. It means family teach an infant to learning speak with visual actions. It is active than sitting in a classroom.
